Sardines

The only difference between choosing dog or cat is that the box it comes in has the recommended dose directed towards dog or cat, otherwise it is exactly the same product and equal amount! Recommended dosage for both animals can always be found below here. 

Sardines are an oily fish that are rich in minerals, especially phosphorus, as well as selenium, iodine, iron and magnesium. They contain B vitamins such as B12, B6 and B3, as well as significant amounts of fat-soluble vitamins E and D (which help absorb calcium).

• Vitamin B12 and vitamin E, in addition to the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, which are great for digestion and for dogs and cats that are pregnant or nursing.
• Vitamin B6 and D strengthen bones, skin and immune system.
• Omega 3 and 6 act as a natural anti-inflammatory agent.
  
• The high magnesium and vitamin B3 content in sardines makes the fish a super good source of energy.
• Selenium promotes cellular regeneration. The backbone of the fish contains a high calcium content and when cooked, it is more easily digestible.

These vitamins, as well as fatty acids, benefit the digestive system, strengthen bones, skin and immune system and are a good source of energy.

TIP! Save the water from the cans, as it contains large amounts of minerals, vitamins and omega-3 fatty acids. The water itself is tasty and therefore a good contribution to hydration. You can either pour the liquid directly over the food or you can divide the contents of the can and freeze parts of the fish and water in ice cube trays. Take them out and let them thaw before serving them with the food. Your dog and cat will love it!
