Venison is a good source of B vitamins and minerals such as zinc, phosphorus and iron. The tendons come from the deer's leg. Thin in the middle and wider at the ends, they contain little fat but are rich in flavor! Deer is considered a hypoallergenic protein source, as it is rarely used in commercial dry food or often in treats, so it can be a good alternative for dogs with intolerances to the usual protein sources such as chicken, pork, etc.
