Golden paste is a powerful blend of turmeric, coconut, black pepper, Ceylon cinnamon, and ginger. Turmeric contains curcumin, which is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Black pepper significantly increases the absorption of curcumin, while coconut oil contributes to better absorption. Cinnamon and ginger provide additional antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.
This supplement is suitable for healthy dogs and cats from 12 weeks of age, but it is genuinely not suitable for some.
Not suitable for dogs and cats that...
- Have gallstones or bile duct problems. Curcumin causes the gallbladder to contract, which can worsen these conditions.
- Have a bleeding disorder or are about to undergo surgery. Curcumin has a mild blood-thinning effect. Most veterinarians recommend stopping it about two weeks before a planned procedure.
- Have diabetes or are taking diabetes medication. Turmeric can lower blood sugar, which can increase when combined with medication.
- Are taking NSAIDs, other anti-inflammatory drugs, or chemotherapy. Turmeric can interact with these.
- Have iron deficiency anemia. In larger amounts, turmeric can bind iron in the intestines and reduce the amount absorbed.
- Are pregnant or lactating. There is not enough safety data, so it is best to avoid it to be safe.
- Are very young. Wait until at least around 12 weeks and consult your veterinarian.
Note: Turmeric stains everything it touches. Your hands, kitchen counter, cutting board, silicone slow feeders/licking mats. Does not stain ceramic/glass.

Mr. Bones makes natural dog food from quality ingredients and simple recipes. The food is produced in small batches in the Extremadura region of Spain, using ingredients that mainly come from local farms.
All products are handled in factories that also produce food for human consumption. Throughout the entire production process, the same strict requirements for quality, hygiene, and traceability are followed as apply in the human food industry.
The products are gently air-dried to best preserve nutrients, taste, and quality. The result is nutrient-dense dog food, completely free of unnecessary additives.
