All complete foods from Sund Hundmat consist of 100% meat from a single animal species. This means you can choose the protein source that suits your dog best, or you can combine the different ones if you wish. The fact that they are single protein also makes it easier to isolate protein sources in, for example, elimination diets in connection with allergy testing.
A luxurious blend of 100% lamb with nutritious ingredients from the whole lamb, such as rumen, meat, hyaline cartilage, heart and liver. It also has a powdered blend of natural vitamin and mineral sources from carefully selected algae and herbs.

Handling and durability
Handling and durability
- Place the package in an airtight container and let it thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
- If you want to defrost food faster, you can place it in a warm water bath.
The food seems to taste and smell best when it is slightly lukewarm, but some dogs like it slightly frozen - especially on hot summer days.
❗️ Remember to be careful with hand hygiene! The same rules that apply when handling fresh meat for humans also apply when handling fresh dog food.
- Once the meat is thawed, it will keep for about 3-4 days in the refrigerator.
- The best-before date on the package is set at two years from the date of production, but this only applies to unopened frozen packaging.
It is normal for food to vary slightly in terms of colour, smell and texture. This depends on the rumen and is related to factors such as age, sex, breed etc. of the cattle. The particular smell of the rumen comes from beneficial lactic acid bacteria and is therefore nothing to worry about. It is perfectly normal for the meat to smell slightly as long as it has been handled according to the instructions above.

Puppies, young dogs and pregnant bitches:
Read more about feeding puppies / young dogs here .
The nutritional needs of puppies, young dogs and pregnant bitches differ from adult dogs in general. The need is met by consuming a larger amount of food. In principle, the food intake is doubled, so the amount of food per day usually corresponds to 4-6% of body weight. Puppies and young dogs should have their food divided into 2-3 meals per day. They are growing and therefore need food. Let the puppy eat until he is full, but keep an eye on his weight. Pregnant bitches should have free access to food.
Adult dogs (over 12 months)
As a starting point, it is a good idea to feed an adult dog 2% of its body weight per day. However, larger breed dogs tend to need less food percentage-wise than smaller breed dogs because their body surface area is smaller in relation to their body volume. The need can therefore vary between 1-3% of body weight per day, or 12-20% of body weight per week. Serve food 1-2 times a day.

Delivery options
Delivery options
Frozen raw food and frozen chews can either be picked up at our location in Brøset, Trondheim, or shipped to a pickup point or via home delivery. If you would like it shipped by mail, it is important that you read the entire section about shipping frozen goods under "Shipping of frozen goods" which you can find HERE.
Minimum order: 12 kg frozen goods (e.g. 24 x 500 g or 4 x 3 kg food)
Maximum per shipment: 1 styrofoam box = approx. 15 kg frozen food
Example of a full styrofoam box:
- 28 x 500 g
- 5 x 3 kg + 8 x 500 g
We do not ship the 800 g medallions, as they will not stay frozen throughout the delivery.
If you would like to order both frozen food and frozen chews, we can check if there is enough space in the styrofoam box. If adjustments are necessary, we will contact you before shipping. If you order both frozen and dry goods (e.g. treats), we can ship everything together if there is room, otherwise it will be shipped separately. You will only be charged one shipping cost.
About the producer
About the producer
Since its founding in 2011, their vision has been to provide pets with logical and healthy food made exclusively from natural ingredients. They wanted to be an alternative on the market without compromising on ethics or environmental considerations. The result is Sund Hundmat — modern complete food, chews, and treats from animals that have had free access to daily outdoor activity and grazing all year round. They clearly distance themselves from intensive breeding, and their production is powered by 100% renewable energy. It’s all about sustainable production, the highest quality, and plain common sense.
