The only difference between dog and cat is that the can has a recommended dose tailored to the pet. Otherwise, it is exactly the same product and the same quantity! Recommended dosages for both animals can always be found below.
Monkfish liver is a delicacy and has many of the same great nutritional benefits as cod liver oil. It's a fantastic nutritional boost for your dog! Full of nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins A and D. Also contains a lot of iron, which, among other things, helps increase the supply of oxygen to the muscles.
- Vitamin A plays a crucial role in maintaining healthy vision, proper immune system function, and the development and maintenance of skin and coat.
- Vitamin D plays a key role in calcium absorption and bone maintenance, immune system, and inflammation regulation.
- Regarding omega-3 fatty acids, monkfish liver contains significant amounts of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).
Tip! ▾
Save the water from the cans, as it contains large amounts of minerals, vitamins, and omega-3 fatty acids. The water itself is flavorful and thus a good contribution to hydration.
You can either pour the liquid directly over the food or divide the contents of the can and freeze parts of the fish and water in ice cube molds. Take them out and let them thaw before serving them with the food. Your dog and cat will love it!

Liver is very nutrient-dense
Follow the dosage recommendation to avoid overdosing on vitamin A. Liver should not make up more than 5% of the animal's daily food intake, but can be given sporadically instead of every day. -
Cats do not have a high need for vitamin D
Monkfish liver should be given in moderation so as not to exceed the need.
