Many dogs suffer from seasonal or year-round allergy flare-ups from grass and pollen. Nettle powder is a mild, plant-based powder that supports the immune response without harsh side effects. It has been used for centuries as a natural antihistamine.

The herb is naturally rich in iron, calcium, and vitamins A, C, and K, as well as chlorophyll and the plant compound quercetin. Quercetin can help reduce the body's histamine response by inhibiting the release of histamine from mast cells. Histamine is a signaling substance that plays a central role in allergic reactions and contributes to symptoms such as itching, sneezing, and watery eyes. Thus, giving nettle can result in less itching, less paw licking, and fewer flare-ups of seasonal or skin allergies. It is a gentle but effective way to relieve discomfort.

Instructions

As a food supplement:
Small (up to 10 kg): 1/4 - 1/2 tsp daily
Medium (12-25 kg): 1/2 - 1 tsp daily
Large (25-40 kg): 1.5 - 2 tsp daily
Extra large (40 kg+): 2 tsp daily

For external use:
Paw bath - Add 1 tbsp nettle powder to 250 ml warm water, let steep for 10 minutes, strain and let paws soak for 2–5 minutes.
Coat rinse - Mix 1-2 tbsp in 500 ml warm water, let steep for 10–15 minutes, strain, cool and then pour over the coat after showering. Leave on - no need to rinse off. Will soothe irritated skin. Always do a patch test first.

Use fresh - discard mixed water within 24 hours.

Consult your veterinarian if your pet is pregnant, sick, diabetic, has kidney disease, or is on medication. Keep away from eyes and nose.

Store in a cool, dry place at room temperature, away from direct sunlight.
