This piece of jewelry is made from raw, unpolished natural amber from the Baltic Sea region! The raw amber contains natural essential oils that are released through friction against the dog's fur, thus helping to prevent ticks from attaching.

The jewelry also features Swiss pine beads, which are handmade in Austria from air-dried, untreated pine from Tyrol. In addition to its pleasant scent, Swiss pine is said to have many beneficial health properties. Essential oils extracted from this tree species are known to have a stress-reducing effect, as well as being insect repellent. TIP! To enhance the insect repellent effect even more, you can drip Napani's essential oil blend BUG-OFF on the wooden balls.

The tick season in Norway usually lasts from April to November, or as long as the temperature is above 0 °C. For best results, it is recommended that the jewelry is worn continuously during this period. It is individual how quickly you see the effect of the jewelry, but most people achieve full effect within 14 days. The jewelry should only be removed when playing rough with other animals. You can safely leave it on while swimming, but it is recommended to take it off and air dry afterwards (preferably in sunlight).

NOTE! This is not a collar, so you should never attach a leash to this. Amber jewelry cannot guarantee that it will prevent ticks. Therefore, always check the fur thoroughly after you have been outside, and remove ticks as soon as possible.

Rengjøring

Hand wash only with water! Washing it in a washing machine or with soap will destroy the effect of the beads. Regular cleaning will extend its durability, and it is recommended to wash it every 2 weeks, or if it becomes very dirty. This is easily done by:

  • Rinse the pearls/jewelry in lukewarm water.
  • Brush the beads lightly with a soft brush (e.g. a toothbrush)
  • Rinse again with clean water.
  • Air dry (e.g. in the sun)

The EM jewelry should be on the animal as much as possible, but the effect is not affected by removing it for a short period. Put the jewelry back on when it is dry. The jewelry can be safely worn when swimming, but it is recommended that it be dried properly after swimming. Should be replaced every year, as wear on the beads reduces the effect.
