Amber jewelry

This necklace is made from raw, unpolished natural Baltic Sea amber. The raw amber contains natural essential oils that are released through friction against the dog's fur, thereby helping to prevent ticks from attaching.

The necklace also features Swiss pine beads, made from untreated pine from Tyrol. In addition to its pleasant scent, Swiss pine is believed to have many beneficial health properties. Essential oils extracted from this wood are known for their stress-reducing effect, as well as being insect repellent. Tip! To further enhance the insect-repelling effect, you can drip Napanis essential oil blend BUG-OFF onto the wooden beads.

The tick season in Norway usually lasts from April to November, or as long as the temperature is above 0 °C. For best effect, it is recommended that the necklace be worn continuously during this period. The speed at which the necklace's effect is observed varies individually, but most achieve full effect within 14 days.

Use
Must be worn continuously to achieve potential full effect. Note: This is not a collar, so you must never attach a leash to it. The necklace should only be removed during rough play with other animals. It can safely be worn while swimming.

Amber necklaces cannot guarantee complete tick prevention. Therefore, always check the fur thoroughly after being outdoors, and remove ticks as soon as possible.

Can be safely used by all humans and animals, including pregnant ones, puppies, and those with allergies. No side effects have been reported from the use of amber. It is recommended to replace the necklace approximately every year. Prolonged friction against fur can polish the amber, which closes the pores and prevents the essential oils from being released.

Maintenance
Hand wash with water.

Washing it in a washing machine or with soap will destroy the amber's effect. Regular cleaning will extend its lifespan, and it is recommended to wash it every 2 weeks, or if it gets very dirty. This is easily done by: rinsing the beads/necklace in lukewarm water, gently brushing the amber with a soft brush (e.g., a toothbrush), rinsing again with clean water, air-drying (e.g., in the sun).

The necklace should be on the animal as much as possible, but its effect is not affected if it is removed for a short period. Put the necklace back on when it is dry. The necklace can safely be worn while bathing, but it is recommended to dry it properly after bathing.
