Spirulina is a blue-green, highly nutritious microalga. It consists of over 60% easily digestible protein and is a natural source of beta-carotene, B vitamins, iron, chlorophyll, essential fatty acids (including GLA), and a variety of bioactive compounds like phycocyanin and polysaccharides. These substances are known for their antioxidant properties and their role in supporting normal cell function.
Research shows that spirulina can help promote a healthy gut flora, and thus the immune system, while also supporting the body's natural detoxification processes by binding to, among other things, heavy metals. Studies have also shown that spirulina can influence the immune response and help protect cells from oxidative stress.
The unique blue-green pigment in spirulina comes from phycocyanin, a bioactive and potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compound. Research suggests that phycocyanin can reduce IgE antibodies and inhibit the release of histamine, which may reduce allergic responses, including those related to food allergies.
The product is air-dried at a low temperature to extend shelf life and best preserve nutrients.

Instructions
Introduce gradually - start with half of the recommended daily dose for the first week.
Recommended daily dose:
Cats: approx. 0.5 g.
Small dogs: 1-1.5 g
Medium and large dogs: 1.5-2.5 g
1 tablespoon = approx. 1 g
Introduce gradually: give half of the recommended daily dose for the first 7 days.
Not recommended for pregnant or lactating dogs, or dogs on medication. Consult your veterinarian first!
